The one ounce Great Britain Silver Britannia coins feature different Britannia designs on the reverse every year. Produced by the Royal Mint, the Silver Britannia coin is UK legal tender, and has a face value of 2 pounds. Coins minted prior to 2013 are 95.8% fine silver, while coins issued 2013 to date are 99.9% fine. Despite the differences in purity, each coin contains one full troy ounce of fine silver. The obverse features Queen Elizabeth II, and the reverse depicts the legendary figure of Britannia.
