With a recorded mintage of 784,000, these US Silver Dollar sized Mexican Legal Tender coins were Mexicos first 100 Peso coin. First struck in 1977 in honor of Jose Maria Morales, one of Mexico’s legendary heroes who help unite the people in rebellion against Spain. A fight which they won in 1821, six years after his capture and execution.
