Minted just a short six year span the 40% Silver Kennedy Halves are often overlooked. Due to silver coinage being hoarded, Congress passed a new coinage law, removing silver from all US minted coins meant for commerce. As these coins where quickly removed from circulation many are still in fairly high grade. Each $1 Face Value contains .2958 troy ounces of silver, making them ideal to purchase in small increments.
